Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who have completed their Bachelor’s Degree in Law can apply for HEC Law GAT 2026. The degree must be from a local or foreign university recognized by HEC or PBC.
The test will be based on multiple choice questions. The revised curriculum of Law-GAT can be downloaded from the official HEC website.
Candidates must score 50 out of 100 to qualify the Law-GAT. Applicants must also meet other criteria, if any, according to the rules and regulations of the Pakistan Bar Council for enrolment to the Bar.
Candidates who have already availed seven attempts are not eligible to apply. Those who have already qualified the Law-GAT are also not eligible. Candidates who are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree in Law are also listed as ineligible in the advertisement.
How to Apply

Candidates should select their test centre carefully from the available list. After registration, the test centre cannot be changed. However, ETC may assign another centre if the number of applicants at a centre is less than 250.
After completing all details, candidates must submit the application. Only submitted applications will be considered. Applications left in save or incomplete mode will not be accepted.
All registration-related queries must be submitted at least three days before the web registration closing date. Roll number slips can be downloaded from etc.hec.gov.pk. Candidates will also receive email or SMS information about the roll number slip.
On the test day, candidates must bring a printed roll number slip and original valid CNIC or passport to enter the test centre.
